Encased in 18-carat white gold, the 38 mm watch features a dial crafted from blue aventurine glass, evoking a starlit sky. The bezel, lugs, and crown are adorned with 80 brilliant-cut diamonds, while 12 marquise-cut diamonds mark the hours. At its heart lies a mother-of-pearl moon disc, framed by hand-painted constellations of Ursa Major and Cassiopeia, enhanced with Super-LumiNova for a celestial glow.

Powered by the A&S1612 manual-winding movement, the watch offers a 90-hour power reserve and an astronomically precise moon phase complication that deviates by only one day every 122 years.

Rooted in the firm belief of its legendary founder that a thin dress watch represents the ultimate epitome of functional elegance, this model is meticulously designed from the ground up to balance modern sophistication with time-honored craft. Cloaked in 950 platinum—a noble metal long synonymous with rarity and traditional savoir-faire—the watch establishes a quiet yet unmistakable presence on the wrist that will immediately resonate with serious connoisseurs.

The defining silhouette of this timepiece remains the signature double-ellipse case, an iconic geometry originally created by master watchmaker Daniel Roth to beautifully frame complex horological mechanisms. To complement this distinctive shape, downward-sloping lugs have been elegantly integrated to ensure optimal wrist comfort while providing a handsome architectural contrast against the light-tan calfskin leather strap. The dial base is forged from solid white gold, displaying a mesmerizing pinstripe guilloché texture executed entirely by hand using a traditional rose engine. Each line is individually carved with masterful control over depth and spacing, beautifully bordered by a gold minute disc finished with a classic filet sauté edge and sharp black typography.

Beneath this stunning facade lies the core of the timepiece: the ultra-thin, hand-wound manufacture Calibre DR002, fully developed and assembled at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton under the expert guidance of master watchmakers Michel Navas and Enrico Barbasini. Tasked with striking the perfect balance between chronometric precision and a generous power reserve within a slim 3.1 mm structure, the watchmakers increased the movement's frequency to 4 Hz. An open sapphire caseback reveals the true artistic discipline of the manufacture, where technical engineering and aesthetic restraint seamlessly converge. The movement's bridges are decorated with demanding hand-finishing details, most notably the internal angles which are rendered in a rare, rounded bercé form. Requiring at least twice the execution time of a standard flat bevel, this traditional decoration involves polishing a precise curved radius along the edges to create a brilliant, uniform profile. Three years ago, independent watchmaker Andreas Strehler launched his new brand, Strehler, to present his philosophy and craftsmanship in a more accessible form. The first model, Sirna, was designed as an essential time‑only watch that distilled his precision, expertise, and uncompromising finishing. The second model, Säntis, takes the brand naturally into the realm of complications. Like Sirna, which was named after the town Sirnach, Säntis draws its name from the mountain near Strehler’s workshop, the highest peak of the Appenzell Alps.

World Time Concept & Crown Operation
Responding to a collector’s request and inspired by his earlier Sauterelle Heure Mondiale, Strehler created a world time watch that remains elegant, intuitive, and deeply personal. Säntis uses a Cottier‑style world time display operated entirely by a single three‑position crown—preserving design purity and simplicity. The 40 mm medical‑grade stainless‑steel case blends refinement with ergonomics and stays below 10 mm thick even with the added mechanism.

Titanium Dial & Time Zone Display
The titanium dial features a sculptural three‑dimensional texture, individually machined, engraved, and hand‑polished. Its pattern is adapted from a design created with Eric Giroud for Sirna. Surrounding it, the 24‑hour ring marks day and night and rotates once per day, aligning with a fixed city ring listing 24 time zones. Central European Time is indicated by “Strehler” rather than a city, and DST‑observing cities are marked with a sun symbol. Both the city disc and 24‑hour disc use luminous printing, with additional luminous dots along the minute track.

Colour Options, Hands & Movement

Its steel pin buckle is crafted in‑house, echoing the case’s lines. The watch is delivered in a beechwood box with a cognac leather travel pouch. While not limited, production is naturally restricted due to the fully in‑house manufacturing of cases, dials, hands, and movements, resulting in only 30–50 watches per year shared between Sirna and Säntis.

With only 15 pieces available worldwide, this release marks a bold evolution in the art of synchronized timekeeping.

The watch features a striking ice blue sunray guilloché dial, crafted using a traditional hand-operated rose engine lathe. Its off-center layout and radiant finish create a captivating play of light beneath the sapphire crystal, while beveled and polished indexes and hands add depth and movement to the design.

At the core of this timepiece is the manually wound Caliber ARF21, a technical breakthrough in resonance watchmaking. Armin Strom’s patented clutch system connects two balance wheels, allowing them to oscillate in opposite directions and synchronize for enhanced precision and stability. Twin seconds counters provide a visual representation of this resonance effect, and a pusher at 2 o’clock resets the counters, offering a clear demonstration of the mechanism’s accuracy.

The movement is hand-finished to haute horology standards, with Geneva stripes, perlage, and black-polished screws visible through the transparent case back. Each watch is assembled twice to ensure both mechanical integrity and flawless finishing.

Encased in a 43 mm stainless steel case and paired with a dark blue Alcantara strap, the Mirrored Force Resonance Ice Blue is a celebration of independent Swiss watchmaking and the science of movement.
