Celebrating 200 Years of Moritz Grossmann with the TREMBLAGE Gold

APRIL 09 2026    |    Watches and Wonders 2026

The year 2026 marks a momentous milestone for Moritz Grossmann as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of our founder’s birth. Moritz Grossmann was not only a master horologist but a visionary scientist and author who forever changed the landscape of Glashütte watchmaking. To commemorate his bicentenary, we are proud to unveil the TREMBLAGE Gold anniversary edition, a tribute that bridges his 19th-century spirit with the pinnacle of modern artisanal watchmaking.

This exceptional release introduces two limited editions, crafted in 750/000 rose gold and 950 platinum, with each variant strictly limited to just eight pieces worldwide. The soul of these timepieces lies in the solid rose gold dial, which has been meticulously hand-engraved using the rare "tremblage" technique. This traditional method involves a master engraver using a specialized burin to create a multi-directional, finely textured matte surface, resulting in a mesmerizing play of light that serves as a backdrop for the raised, hand-polished numerals.

The movement powering these anniversary models is the exquisitely finished Calibre 100.1 manual-winding movement. In a direct nod to the founder's legacy, the balance cock features a unique hand-engraved "1826," marking the year of Grossmann’s birth. Every component, from the heat-annealed brown-violet screws to the hand-carved pillars and German silver plates, reflects our commitment to "Schönstes deutsches Handwerk"—the finest German craftsmanship.

With the TREMBLAGE Gold edition, we do not simply replicate history; we evolve it. These watches embody the same pursuit of technological perfection and aesthetic brilliance that Moritz Grossmann championed two centuries ago. We invite you to discover these masterpieces, which stand as a testament to a heritage that continues to inspire every movement we create and every hand-finished detail we produce in our Glashütte manufactory.

gérald genta Introduces Gentissima Oursin 41 with Meteorite Dials

gérald genta continues its legacy of audacious elegance with the launch of two new references in the Gentissima Oursin collection: Blue Meteorite and Green Meteorite. These timepieces mark a bold evolution of the iconic design first imagined by Mr. Gérald Genta in 1994, inspired by the delicate yet resilient form of the sea urchin.

A Design Born from Nature and the Cosmos
The Gentissima Oursin 41 features a 41mm sandblasted Grade 5 titanium case, meticulously set with 234 white gold beads, echoing the organic geometry of the sea urchin. At its heart lies a dial carved from a fragment of meteorite—a material born from the stars—making each watch a unique, one-of-one creation. The natural crystalline structure of meteorite ensures that no two dials are alike, offering collectors a truly rare expression of artistry.

Sporty-Chic Meets Haute Horlogerie
Combining rubber straps and titanium architecture with luxurious gold accents, the Gentissima Oursin 41 is designed for everyday wearability without compromising sophistication. A curved sapphire crystal, faceted with a subtle octagonal profile, protects the dial and enhances its dynamic character. Gold hands filled with Super-LumiNova featuring a pink hue—a tribute to Mr. Genta’s favorite color—ensure legibility and elegance.

Mechanical Excellence
Inside beats the Zenith Elite GG-005 automatic movement, boasting a 50-hour power reserve, 4 Hz frequency, and an 18K yellow gold oscillating mass, visible through a sapphire caseback. With 50m water resistance and a comfortable rubber strap, this timepiece is as practical as it is artistic.

Armin Strom Unveils the Gravity Equal Force Ultimate Sapphire Rose Gold — A Masterpiece of Mechanics and Elegance

Independent Swiss watchmaker Armin Strom proudly presents the Gravity Equal Force Ultimate Sapphire Rose Gold, a timepiece that exemplifies the brand’s commitment to horological innovation, artisanal craftsmanship, and visual harmony.

Encased in 18K rose gold, this limited-edition watch features a sculptural movement architecture that plays with tone and texture. A brown guilloché mainplate, rose gold-colored bridges, and a floating off-centre sapphire dial create a refined and coherent composition. The watch is paired with a matte brown nubuck leather strap, adding an earthy elegance to the overall aesthetic.

At the heart of the timepiece is the Caliber ASB19, Armin Strom’s groundbreaking automatic movement. It incorporates a patented stop-work declutch mechanism and Geneva cross within the barrel, ensuring consistent torque delivery throughout its 72-hour power reserve. A micro-rotor enables efficient winding while preserving the symmetry and visibility of the movement — a hallmark of Armin Strom’s design philosophy.

Every component, visible or hidden, is hand-finished to haute horology standards. Techniques such as beveling, straight-graining, perlage, Geneva stripes, and black-polished screws are applied with precision and care. The mainplate features a “grain d’orge” guilloché pattern, crafted by master artisan Kari Voutilainen using a traditional hand-operated machine.

This exceptional timepiece is limited to just 25 pieces per year, making it a rare and radiant statement in the world of independent watchmaking. It is a testament to Armin Strom’s philosophy: Mechanics First. Always.

Greubel Forsey Evolves Mechanical Architecture with the New Balancier 3 in Titanium

Following its global debut last night, Greubel Forsey is proud to unveil a new expression of the Balancier 3. Limited to just 22 timepieces, this latest edition continues the evolution of the movement first introduced in 2023, pushing the boundaries of hand-finishing by introducing a treatment never before executed at the Atelier: a frosted titanium bridge, hand-finished with a steel brush across its entire curved surface.

Housed in the signature 41.50mm Convexe titanium case, the Balancier 3 combines this innovative finishing with vibrant blue tones to create a three-dimensional landscape where high-performance chronometry meets unparalleled ergonomic design. The variable geometry of the case is engineered to follow the natural curvature of the wrist, while the multi-level openworked bridges provide a sense of visual lightness despite the movement's technical density.

Performance without compromise defines the heart of the Balancier 3, where technical density meets a striking sense of visual openness. This hand-wound movement is composed of 282 individual parts, featuring two series-coupled fast-rotating barrels that deliver a 72-hour chronometric power reserve. At its core, the in-house variable-inertia balance wheel measures 12.60mm in diameter and is meticulously fitted with six gold mean-time screws to ensure absolute precision.

The functional layout remains faithful to its original architectural concept, displaying hours and minutes on a suspended central bridge alongside a rotating small seconds disc. While the dial side offers a three-dimensional view of the mechanics, the movement side reveals a power-reserve indication integrated into the frosted titanium bridges. Every element, from the involute circle profile gearing to the olived-domed jewels, represents a singular vision of horological excellence and the "Art of Invention."

Chronoswiss Strike Two Stella Blue and Nugget: Where Precision Meets Personality

In the world of independent watchmaking, few designs capture the essence of mechanical artistry and thematic storytelling like the Chronoswiss Strike Two collection. With its signature horizontal regulator layout and exposed gear architecture, the collection is a canvas for both cosmic inspiration and historical homage. The Stellar Blue and Nugget editions, though forged from different visions, share a unified spirit: precision in motion, elevated by craftsmanship.

Architecture of Time

At the heart of both models lies the Chronoswiss Manufacture Caliber C.6000, developed in collaboration with La Joux-Perret. This automatic movement delivers a robust 55-hour power reserve, beating at 4 Hz (28,800 A/h). A skeletonized tungsten rotor, ruthenium-plated Geneva-cut bridges, and polished components reflect the brand’s commitment to mechanical transparency and refinement. Viewed through a sapphire caseback, the movement reveals a radial geometry that echoes the symmetry of the dial above.

The horizontal regulator layout defines the Strike Two identity: a floating hour display at 3 o’clock, central luminous minutes, and a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock. Two architectural bridges span the dial, exposing the gear train and anchoring the visual rhythm of the watch.

Stellar Blue – A Tribute to Cosmic Velocity

The Stellar Blue edition draws inspiration from the brilliance and motion of stellar light. Its dial features a deep blue CVD-coated base, hand-guillochéd with linear engraving that mimics the trajectory of light through space. A silver rhodium-plated subdial adds contrast, while the luminous minute hand glides across the dial like a comet in orbit.

Encased in matte grey sandblasted stainless steel, the watch offers a futuristic silhouette that complements its celestial theme. Measuring 40 mm in diameter and 12.7 mm in thickness, it wears with elegance and presence. The strap is crafted from white nubuck calfskin leather, lined with blue Alcantara, echoing the dial’s cosmic hue.

Nugget – A Homage to Discovery and Rarity

In contrast, the Strike Two Nugget is a celebration of terrestrial treasure — a mechanical gold rush forged in solid 18ct red gold. Inspired by the thrill of unearthing something precious, the Nugget edition elevates the Strike Two architecture with warmth, weight, and richness.

Its anthracite dial, hand-guillochéd and treated with a galvanic finish, reveals depth and texture. A glossy white lacquered small seconds subdial punctuates the monochrome palette, while the exposed gearwork beneath the hour display adds mechanical drama.

The case, polished and sandblasted, retains the 40 mm diameter and 12.7 mm thickness, but its golden sheen transforms the watch into a statement of rarity. Paired with a black nubuck calfskin strap lined in blue Alcantara, the Nugget balances boldness with refinement..

Two Visions, One Philosophy

Whether inspired by the stars or the soil, the Strike Two Stellar Blue and Strike Two Nugget embody Chronoswiss’s philosophy of independent design, mechanical excellence, and thematic storytelling. Limited to 100 pieces each, these timepieces are not just instruments of time — they are expressions of discovery, crafted for collectors who seek meaning in every detail.
