Dual Time Functionality

Designed for the modern traveler, the GMT Guilloche features a 24-hour time zone ring encircling the dial. A distinctive arrow-shaped hand tracks a second time zone, offering intuitive day-night orientation. Local time is displayed via central hour and minute hands, with a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. A dedicated crown at 10 o’clock allows seamless adjustment of the second time zone without affecting the main time.

Masterful Craftsmanship

Each dial is hand-engraved using the traditional guilloché technique, creating intricate geometric patterns that shimmer with light. The green dial is paired with blued steel hands, while the orange dial features polished steel hands—both handcrafted in Glashütte.

Engineered for Precision

Inside the watch beats the calibre 100.8, a manually wound movement crafted in-house and regulated in five positions. It features 253 components, 26 jewels, and signature Grossmann innovations including the 2/3 plate with raised gold chatons, cantilevered balance cock with micrometer screw, and a separately removable winding mechanism. The second time zone mechanism is seamlessly integrated on the dial side, ensuring precision and harmony.

The brilliant red dial is hand-crafted on a traditional, manually operated rose engine lathe, engraving a radiating pattern that catches and plays with light in captivating reflections. Encircled by black azuré (蝸形紋) chapter rings and topped with faceted, floating index markers, the dial's layout creates a stark, three-dimensional contrast that maximizes both visual depth and legibility. Housed in a polished 43 mm stainless steel case, the movement's technical architecture is framed by anthracite-coated bridges and paired with a dark grey Alcantara strap—ensuring that the vibrant red dial and the synchronized dance of the resonance mechanism remain the undisputed center of attention.

At the heart of this technical marvel lies the in-house Calibre ARF21, a hand-wound movement that integrates two completely independent movements within a single calibre. Connected via Armin Strom's patented Resonance Clutch, the two opposing balance wheels transfer vibrations to enter and maintain a perfect state of harmonic resonance. This physical synchronization significantly improves chronometric stability and rate consistency over time. To let wearers witness this horological phenomenon in action, a pusher at 2 o'clock activates a flyback mechanism, resetting both independent seconds hands to zero simultaneously so their perfect synchrony can be monitored in real-time.

Every millimeter of the Mirrored Force Resonance Red showcases Armin Strom's uncompromising dedication to haute horology standards, featuring meticulous hand-polished bevels, perlage, circular graining, and mirror-black polished screws. On the reverse side, the main plate features technical inscriptions rendered in three-dimensional relief, rising directly from the metal's surface. As is tradition for the Swiss manufacture, each watch is assembled twice to guarantee absolute precision. Greubel Forsey presents the final edition of the Balancier Contemporain, marking the definitive conclusion of this iconic calibre. This timepiece is housed in a 39.6mm stainless steel case – a material that has only been used twice before in the history of the Atelier. Limited to just 33 timepieces, this edition will be built and delivered exclusively in 2025. Once complete, the Balancier Contemporain calibre will be permanently retired and will never be made again.

More than a final edition, this stainless steel interpretation is a statement of purpose – it is the rarest and most exclusive case material in the Atelier’s repertoire. Its presence here is deliberate: to honour the legacy of the Balancier Contemporain with purity, restraint, and resolve.

Compact, Yet Monumental

When it was introduced, the Balancier Contemporain redefined expectations – delivering the full Greubel Forsey experience in just 39.6mm. This final edition preserves that feat of engineering and design. Under its high-domed sapphire crystal, the gold dial reveals a rich interplay of levels, textures, and finishes. A sunburst blue hour-ring frames the composition, while a deep blue minute-circle and sectorial indications for the small seconds and power reserve create both contrast and clarity. A large visual opening draws the eye to the in-house 12.6mm balance wheel, suspended above a flat, black-polished gold plate that provides visual depth and dramatic reflection.

The movement is composed of 256 parts, each hand-finished to the highest standard. The bridges are in nickel silver, frosted and spotted by hand, with perfectly polished bevels and countersinks, straight-grained flanks, and a subtle blue treatment unique to this edition. The balance wheel bridge is flat black polished steel – one of the most demanding finishes in haute horlogerie – with hand-polished bevels that reflect light beautifully. The balance wheel itself is mounted above a flat black-polished gold plate, a surface so refined it becomes both technical and architectural.

On the movement side, a black-polished gold plate is engraved in relief with the fundamental values of Greubel Forsey – invisible to the wearer, yet finished with the same uncompromising care. Olive-domed jewels are set in gold chatons, with hand-polished countersinks that catch the light at just the right angle. Every component, visible or not, is treated with the same reverence – as if each part could stand on its own as a miniature work of art.

A Closing Statement – and a New Beginning

This is the last timepiece to carry the Balancier Contemporain calibre – but it is also the first to signal a new direction. With this final edition, Greubel Forsey opens a new chapter focused on small-diameter timepieces. The year 2026 marks a historic milestone for the Moritz Grossmann manufactory in Glashütte, celebrating the 200th birthday of its visionary founder and namesake, born on March 27, 1826. A genius watchmaker, scientist, author, and the initiator of the German Watchmaking School, Grossmann profoundly shaped the craft of horology and the fate of his hometown. Rather than merely duplicating historical concepts, the modern manufactory honors his legacy by blending his cutting-edge philosophy with modern engineering. This dedication to technological perfection and exceptional aesthetics cements its place among the world's elite elite watchmakers.

To commemorate this bicentennial occasion, the brand has unveiled its fourth anniversary special edition: the BACKPAGE Tremblage. Debuting on May 19, 2026, this launch presents an exclusive mechanical showcase for collectors—featuring a massive dial opening that reveals the magnificent inner workings of the movement from the front. Crafted with a luxurious three-part platinum case, the watch conceals a subtle celebratory nod on its reverse side: a balance cock delicately engraved with "1826", the birth year of Moritz Grossmann.

At the heart of this timepiece is the hand-wound manufactory calibre 107.0, a technical tour de force that essentially stands as a mirror image of the signature calibre 100.1. To allow components like the Grossmann balance, hand-engraved balance cock, and the triple-band snailing on the ratchet wheel to be admired on the dial side instead of being hidden on the back, the entire movement architecture had to be re-engineered. An additional wheel integrated between the crown wheel and the ratchet wheel reverses the rotation of the drive train, allowing the mirrored escapement and oscillation system to run perfectly in the correct direction.

The defining aesthetic highlight of this model is its German silver dial face, treated with the historic hand-worked tremblage engraving technique. By meticulously guiding a cutter back and forth in tiny trembling movements, master artisans create a vibrant, finely granulated, and uniform matt texture. The remaining dial elements define the watch's character, offered in either an expressive violet or a captivating "blue meteor" galvanized shade, framing the hour display from 11 to 5 o'clock. Strictly limited to 12 pieces per color variant worldwide, the models are completed with matching hand-annealed steel hands and hand-stitched alligator or kudu leather straps.
