The Zeitgeist features a stainless steel case measuring 43 mm in diameter, paired with an 18K white gold dial in an off-center design. Inside beats the Armin Strom Manufacture Caliber ARF21_ZG, a manual-winding movement with twin-seconds and flyback functionality, offering an impressive 80-hour power reserve. Limited to just 25 pieces worldwide, this exceptional creation pays tribute to the centuries-long pursuit of chronometric consistency, a challenge first explored by Christiaan Huygens in 1665. Angelus unveils the Flying Tourbillon Skeleton Titanium, Orange Edition, a vivid expression of horological energy and design. Limited to just 25 pieces, this timepiece transforms skeletonised mechanics into a canvas of colour and contrast. The satin-finished titanium case frames a deep black movement, animated by bright orange accents that highlight the time display and extend to three interchangeable straps. The openwork calibre, designed as a series of interlocking circles, adds architectural depth and visual dynamism.

Every detail of this 42.5 mm watch reflects a unique energy. Chromatic energy flows through the orange highlights. Customisable energy is offered by the quick-release strap system, allowing seamless transitions between black alligator leather, orange rubber, and integrated titanium. Light energy emerges from the skeletonised movement, while structural energy is revealed in the layered construction. Graphic energy is embodied in the three-dimensional architecture of the A-310 calibre.

The dial features a floating orange minute track above a black flange, with hour markers crafted for the first time by Angelus in monolithic blocks of Super-LumiNova. These luminous elements ensure legibility in low light and reinforce the watch’s modern aesthetic. At the heart of the case lies a carbon composite chamber, lightweight yet rigid, surrounded by a modular titanium cage that enhances stability and mechanical appeal.

This creation stands out through its extraordinary natural ruby dial, sourced and crafted by a local Swiss stone artisan. The brand selected only genuine ruby exhibiting depth of colour, fine inclusions, and naturally occurring variations—features that are not flaws but signatures of authenticity, shaped by geological processes over millions of years. As light moves across the dial, subtle tonal shifts appear, infusing the watch with a vibrant mineral presence that contrasts strikingly with the symmetry and modernity of the exposed mechanics.

Beyond its visual impact, this edition embodies ARMIN STROM’s belief that materials must carry meaning. While natural ruby asserts its aesthetic and symbolic presence on the dial, synthetic ruby jewels within the movement fulfil their longstanding horological role of reducing friction and ensuring long-term precision. At the core of the watch lies the hand-finished Calibre ARF21, a manufacture movement entirely designed and produced in-house. Greubel Forsey presents the final edition of the Balancier Contemporain, marking the definitive conclusion of this iconic calibre. This timepiece is housed in a 39.6mm stainless steel case – a material that has only been used twice before in the history of the Atelier. Limited to just 33 timepieces, this edition will be built and delivered exclusively in 2025. Once complete, the Balancier Contemporain calibre will be permanently retired and will never be made again.

More than a final edition, this stainless steel interpretation is a statement of purpose – it is the rarest and most exclusive case material in the Atelier’s repertoire. Its presence here is deliberate: to honour the legacy of the Balancier Contemporain with purity, restraint, and resolve.

Compact, Yet Monumental

When it was introduced, the Balancier Contemporain redefined expectations – delivering the full Greubel Forsey experience in just 39.6mm. This final edition preserves that feat of engineering and design. Under its high-domed sapphire crystal, the gold dial reveals a rich interplay of levels, textures, and finishes. A sunburst blue hour-ring frames the composition, while a deep blue minute-circle and sectorial indications for the small seconds and power reserve create both contrast and clarity. A large visual opening draws the eye to the in-house 12.6mm balance wheel, suspended above a flat, black-polished gold plate that provides visual depth and dramatic reflection.

The movement is composed of 256 parts, each hand-finished to the highest standard. The bridges are in nickel silver, frosted and spotted by hand, with perfectly polished bevels and countersinks, straight-grained flanks, and a subtle blue treatment unique to this edition. The balance wheel bridge is flat black polished steel – one of the most demanding finishes in haute horlogerie – with hand-polished bevels that reflect light beautifully. The balance wheel itself is mounted above a flat black-polished gold plate, a surface so refined it becomes both technical and architectural.

On the movement side, a black-polished gold plate is engraved in relief with the fundamental values of Greubel Forsey – invisible to the wearer, yet finished with the same uncompromising care. Olive-domed jewels are set in gold chatons, with hand-polished countersinks that catch the light at just the right angle. Every component, visible or not, is treated with the same reverence – as if each part could stand on its own as a miniature work of art.

A Closing Statement – and a New Beginning

This is the last timepiece to carry the Balancier Contemporain calibre – but it is also the first to signal a new direction. With this final edition, Greubel Forsey opens a new chapter focused on small-diameter timepieces. Chronoswiss expands its avant‑garde Space Timer collection with the new SPACE TIMER GRAVITY, a 44mm mechanical creation inspired by the invisible yet powerful force of gravity. Limited to 50 pieces, the watch transforms cosmic phenomena into a visually architectural dial experience.

A Dial Where Light, Matter, and Mechanics Interact
The dial features a partly hand‑guilloché surface finished with a colour‑shifting CVD coating that transitions between deep green and oceanic blue depending on light — evoking the sensation of viewing a planet from orbit. A striking moon at 9 o’clock is produced through sophisticated laser work based on an original NASA photograph, revealing cratered textures with exceptional depth.

Floating above the landscape are transparent ITR2 hour and date rings that appear suspended in orbit. Beneath them, the exposed gear train is framed by a baby‑blue bridge, echoing the hue of the seconds hand and adding contemporary contrast to the cosmic scene.

A Case Built for Orbit
The 44mm matte‑grey stainless‑steel case delivers a modern, technical presence while allowing the dial’s dynamic surfaces to take centre stage. It pairs with a light grey nubuck leather strap for a refined, futuristic aesthetic.
