In the celestial tapestry of time, 2024 marks the golden jubilee of Christiaan van der Klaauw Astronomical Watches, 50 years adorned with dedication, innovation, and horological brilliance. To commemorate this auspicious occasion, we unveil the mesmerizing CVDK Grand Planetarium Eccentric Manufacture: it is the only mechanical Planetarium watch in the world that displays all 8 planets, showing real time the orbits of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune around the Sun. An exceptional Haute Horlogerie CVDK masterpiece, echoing our enduring commitment to the art of timekeeping.
A harmoniously arranged skeletonised calibre with an evolved and subtle watchmaking style. Arnold & Son has reworked its Nebula collection, giving it a more striking case with a universal diameter of 40 mm while retaining its remarkably finished movement and unique abundance of watchmaking tradition. Two versions – one with a rhodium-plated and black calibre, the other with golden accents – ensure that the Nebula 40 Steel shines bright. The aesthetics of the Nebula collection are unlike any other skeleton: its structure conveys watchmaking spirit, its style expresses unique elegance, and the overall effect is one of outstanding finesse.
The case of the Nebula collection has been redesigned, modernised and refined. With streamlined lugs, a softly rounded bezel, a more vertical case middle and a diameter of 40 mm in harmony with its thickness of just 9.10 mm, this steel case opens a new chapter for the collection. Featuring the A&S5201 skeletonised calibre offering an ultra-graphic layout, Nebula retains its identity as a watch whose movement fascinates, captivates and draws the eye into its depths.
Matt and refined with vintage style: Instrument de Vitesse presents the purest expression of a chronograph, with no sub-counters. The collection sets the tone with its Indianapolis blue and Silverstone grey dials. Its finely printed tachymeter scale is dedicated to speed and is as functional as a dashboard instrument.
Things are not always what they seem. At first glance, Instrument de Vitesse could be a highly refined three-hand watch. Only its discreet tachymeter scale, printed on the edge of the dial, and its name point us in the right direction: this is a chronograph designed for short bursts, an instrument for measuring average speed over a maximum period of 60 seconds. The purpose of the button on the crown thus becomes clear: a single push-piece that triggers the slender direct-drive central seconds hand.

This year, the journey continues as we push the boundaries of watchmaking with two new models that capture the awe-inspiring vastness of space: the Space Timer Deep Space and the Space Timer Super Nova.
Swiss independent watch brand Armin Strom celebrates the 15th anniversary of its fully-integrated Manufacture by reimagining its most historically significant innovation, the resonance complication, in an entirely new Dual Time GMT Resonance First Edition. The omnipresent grey of titanium extends into the sunray-brushed grey of the "Magnetic Silver" dial. Chronodate Titanium expresses its technical sophistication in an ensemble where deep black contrasts with a hint of red. With this ultra-sporty, understated and intense new colour scheme, Chronodate Titanium catches the eye, fixes it and draws it towards the horizon.
Angelus introduces a new shade of its self-winding chronograph with peripheral date. Chronodate welcomes the silver-grey "Magnetic Silver" in a tone-on-tone effect. The harmonious blend between titanium case, titanium bracelet or black rubber strap, rhodium-plated hands and the dial surface creates a technical monochrome impression. This grey continues into black, revealing the movement container and then the carbon composite push-pieces. This black ensemble culminates in the two counters, one a 30-minute chronograph totaliser and the other with a small seconds.
Chronodate is a fusion of two different styles: Angelus, the historic brand and its Swiss watchmaking heritage, and Angelus, the technical, modern brand with a penchant for complications. With this colour combination, the house presents the most striking version of this chronograph collection.
