Moritz Grossmann, the independent Saxon manufacture celebrated for its uncompromising craftsmanship and technical ingenuity, introduces the latest evolution of its iconic BENU Power Reserve. This new interpretation embodies the brand’s guiding principle: progress in harmony with tradition.

A Dial That Captures Light and Time
The dial is the face of a watch — a canvas where heritage meets artistry. For the first time, the BENU Power Reserve combines its signature linear power reserve indicator with Azurage decoration. This intricate guilloché pattern of ultra-fine concentric grooves animates the outer chapter ring, creating a captivating interplay of light. The softly textured matte center in shimmering argenté silver contrasts with applied blue numerals and indices, while the brand logo and minute track appear in understated grey.

Completing this refined composition are newly designed hands, handcrafted from steel in the Glashütte atelier. Each hand is meticulously beveled, polished, and then heat-blued using traditional thermal treatment. Their elegant curvature and needle-fine tips exemplify the precision and artistry that define Moritz Grossmann.

The Poetry of Mechanics: Power Reserve Indicator
Mechanical timepieces invite interaction, and the power reserve display is a charming expression of this dialogue. Positioned beneath 12 o’clock, the linear indicator reveals a two-tone bar driven by a differential gear train. Armin Strom unveils its latest horological creation, the Dual Time GMT Resonance Manufacture Edition Blue, strictly limited to just 50 pieces worldwide. Drawing from classical watchmaking codes, this exceptional timepiece introduces a subtle retro-chic character through a deep blue PVD-coated mainplate and gear-train bridges. Positioned directly on the dial side, the vibrant blue execution elevates open-worked architecture to new heights, delivering a visually captivating contrast that redefines traditional hand-finishing.

The aesthetic composition centers around two finely grained white dials, each adorned with white azurage chapter rings that catch the light while revealing the rich blue mainplate underneath. Accentuating the design are blue PVD-coated applied indexes and facetted polished hands that echo the hue of the underlying movement. Each display is paired with a black-polished day/night disc depicting sun rays and a uniquely crater-textured crescent moon, while a matte dark blue alligator leather strap with white stitching seamlessly ties the entire color palette together.

At the heart of the timepiece beats the in-house manufacture Calibre ARF22, a manual-winding movement engineered to harness the physical phenomenon of resonance. Utilizing Armin Strom’s patented resonance clutch, two independent regulating systems oscillate in perfect synchronicity, delivering heightened chronometric precision and an enthralling three-dimensional kinetic display. Providing intuitive functionality for global travelers, the movement powers two completely independent time zone displays—each with its own hours, minutes, and day/night indication—operating at a frequency of 3.5 Hz (25,200 vph) with a 42-hour power reserve.

Housed in a compact stainless steel case measuring 39.00 mm in diameter and 9.05 mm in height, the watch offers refined ergonomics alongside a water resistance of 5 ATM. The double sapphire crystal construction reveals exquisite decorative detail on both sides, including laser-engraved relief lettering on the reverse mainplate, bright polished bevels along the blue bridges, and rhodium-colored barrel bridges adorned with classic Côtes de Genève.

At the center of the watch is a lasered, nickel-coated main dial featuring a subtle three-dimensional texture in a refined grey tone. The upper stage hosts the iconic Delphis display: a digital jumping hour at 12 o'clock, a sweeping retrograde minute hand, and a subdial at 6 o'clock. Highlighted in a captivating "Art-Deco Blue" lacquer over a hand-guilloché base engraved on century-old machines at Atelier Lucerne, the subdial is beautifully accented by a gold-plated minute ring that adds a warm, geometric contrast.

Beating inside is the manufacture automatic Caliber C.6004, developed in partnership with La Joux-Perret. Visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback, this 37-jewel movement delivers a 55-hour power reserve and features ruthenium-plated bridges decorated with Geneva stripes and a skeletonized tungsten rotor. The 17-piece solid titanium case incorporates Chronoswiss’s signature onion crown, patented Autobloc screw lugs, and a robust 10 bar (100m) water resistance rating.

Rooted in the firm belief of its legendary founder that a thin dress watch represents the ultimate epitome of functional elegance, this model is meticulously designed from the ground up to balance modern sophistication with time-honored craft. Cloaked in 950 platinum—a noble metal long synonymous with rarity and traditional savoir-faire—the watch establishes a quiet yet unmistakable presence on the wrist that will immediately resonate with serious connoisseurs.

The defining silhouette of this timepiece remains the signature double-ellipse case, an iconic geometry originally created by master watchmaker Daniel Roth to beautifully frame complex horological mechanisms. To complement this distinctive shape, downward-sloping lugs have been elegantly integrated to ensure optimal wrist comfort while providing a handsome architectural contrast against the light-tan calfskin leather strap. The dial base is forged from solid white gold, displaying a mesmerizing pinstripe guilloché texture executed entirely by hand using a traditional rose engine. To sustain this high frequency without sacrificing energy efficiency or structural stability, the calibre incorporates a specially refined balance wheel featuring a variable-inertia geometry and adjustable counterweights.

An open sapphire caseback reveals the true artistic discipline of the manufacture, where technical engineering and aesthetic restraint seamlessly converge. The movement's bridges are decorated with demanding hand-finishing details, most notably the internal angles which are rendered in a rare, rounded bercé form. Requiring at least twice the execution time of a standard flat bevel, this traditional decoration involves polishing a precise curved radius along the edges to create a brilliant, uniform profile. Shaped and hand-polished in-house using a traditional cabron tool, these components reinforce the brand's unwavering commitment to its guiding philosophy: "La Montre Objet d'Art".
