Swiss Prestige, the Hong Kong distributor for Chronoswiss, transformed the XX bar of Rosewood Hotel into a kaleidoscope of horological wonder on June 20th. The exclusive cocktail event, themed "Into the Modern Mechanical with Colors," brought Chronoswiss's "Modern Mechanical" philosophy to life in a multisensory experience.

As guests entered, they were greeted by a dazzling display of colorful lighting and the Chronoswiss logo projected onto the wall, setting the tone for an evening of innovative watchmaking and modern luxury. The terrace offered a breathtaking view of Hong Kong Island's skyline across Victoria Harbour, while videos showcasing Chronoswiss's craftsmanship were projected onto the terrace walls.

A DJ filled the air with smooth house music, creating a contemporary backdrop for the event. Attendees indulged in an array of colorful cocktails and canapés, mirroring the vibrant aesthetics of Chronoswiss's latest timepieces.

Chronoswiss CEO Oliver Ebstein presents the 2024 collections, emphasizing the brand's commitment to blending traditional watchmaking with bold, contemporary design. The event showcased various Chronoswiss collections, including previews of upcoming Delphis models featuring titanium cases and vibrant enamel dials. These pieces highlight Chronoswiss's mastery of hand guilloche and fire enameling, two rare skills performed entirely in-house.

Encased in 18-carat white gold, the 38 mm watch features a dial crafted from blue aventurine glass, evoking a starlit sky. The bezel, lugs, and crown are adorned with 80 brilliant-cut diamonds, while 12 marquise-cut diamonds mark the hours. At its heart lies a mother-of-pearl moon disc, framed by hand-painted constellations of Ursa Major and Cassiopeia, enhanced with Super-LumiNova for a celestial glow.

The Armin Strom One Week Titanium Skeleton, an openworked masterpiece now fully skeletonized to reveal the intricate heart of its mechanics, combines striking design with precision engineering. Encased in lightweight titanium grade 5, it balances strength with comfort, providing a feeling of lightness that makes it easy to wear all week long.

The Armin Strom One Week Titanium Skeleton is a showcase of skeletonization, a technique that is rooted in Mr. Armin Strom’s philosophy and heritage. He sought to enhance depth and three-dimensionality while avoiding see-through to maintain elegance.

The 2023 One Week was already openworked by nature, but this version goes even further, removing more material to highlight the movement’s complexity. Few watches combine openworking and skeletonization at this level. The small seconds dial is skeletonized, revealing the power reserve level and the escapement wheel for a 3D mechanical animation. The mainplate and the barrels are also skeletonized enhancing aesthetics. Thanks to this skeletonization, the power reserve indicator is highlighted as well as the cone mechanism, reminiscent of ancient pocket watches. A major highlight is the case back, offering a mesmerizing view of the entire mechanism.

With a 7-day power reserve, this watch keeps time accurate for an entire week without needing winding. The hand-finished details reflect the level of craftsmanship behind its design. Housed in a distinctive 41mm two-tone case crafted from stainless steel and 18ct red gold, the timepiece masterfully blends the rugged spirit of adventure with refined luxury. The warm glow of precious metal flows seamlessly into the robust steel construction, mirroring the final golden rays dancing across endless dunes. This ultimate celebration of contrasts is beautifully completed by a sand-colored nubuck leather strap that evokes the warm tones of sunlit, weathered terrain.

At the heart of the watch beats the Chronoswiss Manufacture Caliber C.741S, a fully skeletonized automatic chronograph movement that transforms every measurement of time into a visual spectacle. The hands are crafted in the elegant Breguet Losange shape and rhodium-plated to ensure striking contrast against the dark, galvanic black perlage of the base plate.

Crafted in solid 23 pieces, the 41mm case features an 18ct red gold bezel with partial knurling, a screw-down case back with a red gold coin-edge ring, and Chronoswiss’s iconic onion crown. The total weight of gold used in this exceptional construction is 21.4 grams. Offering a water resistance of 3 bar (30 meters), the watch is equipped with screw-in lugs utilizing the patented Autobloc system. Perpetual Moon 38 Night Tide celebrates the fluctuating pull of this celestial body on the water. A large moon disc appears over vast waves. Made of mother-of-pearl and ruthenium, they rise one after the other in a cascade of soft curves. This scene, illuminated by diamonds, celebrates the femininity, elegance and evocative power of Arnold & Son’s watchmaking.

Powerful and plentiful, the waves of Perpetual Moon 38 Night Tide herald heavy seas. In the blue of the night, the tide is at its highest, and so are the rollers. The moon, capricious and triumphant, imposes its will. The gradations of the water are topped with a sparkling foam. Beneath the peaceful light of Selene, the ocean rages on.

Arnold & Son interprets this powerfully symbolic scene through mechanisms and minerals. The astronomical moon complication of Perpetual Moon 38 Night Tide is adorned in mother-of-pearl and ruthenium: a delicate, evocative composition that fully expresses the dial-makers’ expertise.
