Armin Strom unveils its latest horological creation, the Dual Time GMT Resonance Manufacture Edition Blue, strictly limited to just 50 pieces worldwide. Drawing from classical watchmaking codes, this exceptional timepiece introduces a subtle retro-chic character through a deep blue PVD-coated mainplate and gear-train bridges. Positioned directly on the dial side, the vibrant blue execution elevates open-worked architecture to new heights, delivering a visually captivating contrast that redefines traditional hand-finishing.

The aesthetic composition centers around two finely grained white dials, each adorned with white azurage chapter rings that catch the light while revealing the rich blue mainplate underneath. Accentuating the design are blue PVD-coated applied indexes and facetted polished hands that echo the hue of the underlying movement. Each display is paired with a black-polished day/night disc depicting sun rays and a uniquely crater-textured crescent moon, while a matte dark blue alligator leather strap with white stitching seamlessly ties the entire color palette together.

At the heart of the timepiece beats the in-house manufacture Calibre ARF22, a manual-winding movement engineered to harness the physical phenomenon of resonance. Utilizing Armin Strom’s patented resonance clutch, two independent regulating systems oscillate in perfect synchronicity, delivering heightened chronometric precision and an enthralling three-dimensional kinetic display. Providing intuitive functionality for global travelers, the movement powers two completely independent time zone displays—each with its own hours, minutes, and day/night indication—operating at a frequency of 3.5 Hz (25,200 vph) with a 42-hour power reserve.

Housed in a compact stainless steel case measuring 39.00 mm in diameter and 9.05 mm in height, the watch offers refined ergonomics alongside a water resistance of 5 ATM. The double sapphire crystal construction reveals exquisite decorative detail on both sides, including laser-engraved relief lettering on the reverse mainplate, bright polished bevels along the blue bridges, and rhodium-colored barrel bridges adorned with classic Côtes de Genève.

Arnold & Son presents two new evocative versions of its ultra-thin HM model, featuring dials crafted from Namibian pietersite. Often called the "stone of storms," this decorative mineral belongs to the chalcedony family and was first discovered by Sid Pieters in the early 1960s. Each unique dial displays delicate, swirling patterns that recall the turbulent skies and foaming waves of Cornwall, the English birthplace of founder John Arnold. This design pays tribute to the ingenuity of the legendary watchmaker while celebrating the spirit of those who maintain their course in a challenging world.

The designation "HM" was intentionally chosen to reflect the watch's focus on displaying only hours and minutes, while simultaneously serving as a historical nod to the British Royal Navy. In naval tradition, HM stands for "His or Her Majesty’s," a title that appeared in the 17th century and was later formalized as HMS. By transposing this reference to watchmaking, Arnold & Son connects the precision of modern horology with England's maritime history, specifically the era when John Arnold’s marine chronometers enabled the exploration of new lands.

Encased in a choice of 18-carat red gold or stainless steel, the HM Pietersite is a masterpiece of elegance and restraint. The case measures a refined 39.5 mm in diameter with a remarkably slim profile of just 7.82 mm. To complement the dreamlike, diaphanous patterns of the pietersite dial, the timepiece is paired with a matte ink-blue alligator leather strap and a traditional pin buckle crafted from the same metal as the case. These limited editions are produced in extremely small quantities, with only 8 pieces available in red gold and 18 in steel.

At the heart of this timepiece lies the ultra-thin, in-house A&S1001 manual-winding calibre. Visible through a sapphire crystal case back, the movement is a showcase of luxury finishing, featuring a rhodium-plated main plate with circular graining and bridges adorned with radiating Côtes de Genève. Despite its slender height of only 2.70 mm, the movement offers exceptional performance with a generous 90-hour power reserve. An open sapphire caseback reveals the true artistic discipline of the manufacture, where technical engineering and aesthetic restraint seamlessly converge. The movement's bridges are decorated with demanding hand-finishing details, most notably the internal angles which are rendered in a rare, rounded bercé form. Requiring at least twice the execution time of a standard flat bevel, this traditional decoration involves polishing a precise curved radius along the edges to create a brilliant, uniform profile. The watch features a striking ice blue sunray guilloché dial, crafted using a traditional hand-operated rose engine lathe. Its off-center layout and radiant finish create a captivating play of light beneath the sapphire crystal, while beveled and polished indexes and hands add depth and movement to the design.

At the core of this timepiece is the manually wound Caliber ARF21, a technical breakthrough in resonance watchmaking. Armin Strom’s patented clutch system connects two balance wheels, allowing them to oscillate in opposite directions and synchronize for enhanced precision and stability. Twin seconds counters provide a visual representation of this resonance effect, and a pusher at 2 o’clock resets the counters, offering a clear demonstration of the mechanism’s accuracy.

The movement is hand-finished to haute horology standards, with Geneva stripes, perlage, and black-polished screws visible through the transparent case back. Each watch is assembled twice to ensure both mechanical integrity and flawless finishing.
